Advocacy is at the core of our PTA mission to make every child's potential a reality. By engaging and educating members on critical local, state and national level, PTAs become essential voices in making decisions that impact Texas families.
Our nearly 17,000 leaders and 500,000 members drive Texas PTA’s legislative work by establishing legislative resolutions and positions giving the Texas PTA Board of Directors authority to act on their behalf
Rally Day 2027
Held during each legislative session, Rally Day brings PTA members from across Texas together at the Capitol in Austin. It’s a powerful, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the Capitol alongside hundreds of fellow PTA leaders and members, learn about the legislative process firsthand, and build meaningful connections with lawmakers who shape education policy.
Rally Day is about showing up, learning together, and ensuring that families remain a visible part of the conversation about Texas schools.
Straight Talk
Conversations that spark change! Every other February, Straight Talk explores timely issues affecting Texas students, like mental wellness, school climate, and digital safety. Featuring expert panelists and student voices, this live streamed event empowers families to engage in meaningful dialogue.
